Andrijana is an excellent yoga teacher. A warm person who makes you feel safe and willing to try new things in which you succeed most of the times! Creative and energizing teacher willing to bring fun during the most challenging poses making you to persist and be proud of yourself at the end. The meditation at the end makes me feel relaxed and happy.She teaches you how to listen to your body and therefore how far to go in a pose if you have injuries or weaknesses and not to feel bad about yourself if you're unable to do the pose as she does. I highly recommend her to everyone who wants to do yoga!

Cocooning Ritual: A Simple Practice for Protection, Healing, and Renewal

Have you ever felt like your energy was scattered in a thousand directions - pulled by work, family, notifications, and endless “shoulds”? That restless feeling is exactly why cocooning is so powerful.

Cocooning is an ancient yogic ritual for centering and protecting your energy. Think of it as gathering all your loose threads back in, creating a cocoon of light around yourself, and resting in a state of calm and clarity.

It’s not about hiding away - it’s about feeling grounded, whole, and protected in your own energy field.

What Is Cocooning?

Cocooning is a yogic energy ritual passed down through lineage as a way to:

  • Gather scattered thoughts and emotions

  • Restore calm and focus

  • Surround yourself with protection and healing light

    It’s especially useful for empaths, sensitive souls, and anyone who feels drained by the constant exchange of energy in daily life.

You can practice cocooning:

  • At the end of meditation or pranayama

  • Before starting your day, to feel centered

  • Anytime you need to reset your energy and feel safe

Benefits of the Cocooning Ritual

Practicing cocooning regularly can:

  • Create a protective boundary of light and love

  • Reduce anxiety and restlessness

  • Ground you in your own energy instead of others’

  • Open your access to intuition and inner guidance

  • Support your nervous system by teaching it how to return to balance

    Simply put, cocooning is like giving yourself an
    energetic hug of healing and protection.

How to Practice Cocooning

Here’s a step-by-step guide to this energy protection ritual:

Step 1 - Center

Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe naturally. Set the intention to come home to yourself.

Step 2 - Gather the Mind

Place both hands behind your head, as if collecting scattered thoughts. Sweep the energy forward and bring your palms together at your heart. Repeat 2–3 times.

Step 3 - Gather the Lower Self

Bring your hands behind your lower back. Sweep this energy forward and again bring palms to prayer. Repeat 2–3 times, noticing how grounded you feel.

Step 4 - White Light of Protection

Stretch your arms wide overhead. Visualize soft white light pouring down. Gather it into your palms, draw it into your energy field, and seal it below your body.

Step 5 - Blue Light of Healing

Raise your arms again. Imagine a clear blue light descending. Bring it in, seal it, and rest in its healing cocoon.

Step 6 - Golden Light of Transformation

Lift your arms wide one last time. Visualize golden light streaming down. Seal it into your energy field, resting in a cocoon of transformation.

Step 7 - Affirmation

Sit quietly, surrounded by light. Affirm silently:

“Nothing comes in, and nothing goes out, except unconditional love.”

Cocooning in a Few Minutes

No time for the full ritual? You can still benefit by simply closing your eyes and visualizing a cocoon of light around you for a few breaths. Even a short practice can shift your energy and calm your mind.
