glow up - Day Retreat

A Full Day That Feels Like You Were Away -

without leaving the city

For women 40+ who want to feel calmer in their body, clearer in their mind, and quietly luminous by the end of the day.

Feb 22 • 10:00–5:30 (doors 9:30)

Focused Studio, Midtown Toronto

Lunch Included | Small Group | No Experience Needed

A Space Designed to Support You

The day takes place at Focused Studios, a bright, welcoming space filled with natural light.

It’s warm, calm, and intentionally held, a place where you can soften, move, and rest without distraction.

You’ll have room to breathe, settle in, and feel at ease from the moment you arrive.

WHAT THIS DAY SUPPORTS

This day is designed to support:

- a calmer, more settled nervous system

- softening of tension in the shoulders, jaw, chest, and hips

- steadier energy instead of highs and crashes

- deeper rest and digestion

- a natural, visible glow that comes from being well-supported

- a renewed sense of ease, clarity, and inner “yes”

Glow isn’t something we apply.

It’s something we restore.

WHO THIS DAY IS FOR

This retreat is for women who:

- feel capable, yet quietly tired

- are used to holding space for others and want a break from that role

- want movement that feels kind and intelligent for a 40+ body

- crave real rest without needing to explain or justify it

- miss feeling light, playful, and connected

- are curious about what midlife can feel like when it’s supported, not rushed

You don’t need prior yoga experience.

You don’t need to arrive calm, flexible, or glowing.

You simply need curiosity and a willingness to show up as you are.

What We’ll Be Doing Together

Glow Up Day Retreat is a full-day, in-person somatic experience designed to help your body soften, your nervous system settle, and your natural glow return - from the inside out.

The day unfolds gently and intentionally, guiding you from arrival into connection, movement, rest, expression, and integration - without rushing, performing, or over-explaining.

The rhythm of the day includes:

Arrival + Somatic Connection

We begin by arriving slowly; grounding into the space and getting to know one another through light, playful, nervous-system-friendly connection games.

Somatic Yoga Practice

A nourishing yoga practice designed to open and soften the body and heart.

This is intelligent, trauma-aware, somatic movement - supporting joints, spine, breath, and circulation, while helping the nervous system shift out of holding and bracing.

Nourishing Lunch + Integration Time

A warm, nourishing lunch is provided, followed by free time to rest, reflect, or simply be.

For those who are curious, gentle Ayurvedic self-care insights for supporting glow, digestion, and energy will be shared - practical, simple, and realistic.

Heart-Centered Ritual + Embodied Release

In the afternoon, we move into heart-opening ritual and embodied practices that support emotional softening and vitality.

This includes somatic release through movement and dance - allowing the body to discharge tension and reconnect with pleasure, rhythm, and aliveness.

Closing Ceremony + Integration

We close the day with a grounding, creative ceremony that supports integration, meaning-making, and connection - leaving you feeling complete, steady, and quietly luminous.

How You’ll Leave

Women often leave this day feeling:

- more settled in their body

- softer through the chest and shoulders

- clearer and quieter in the mind

- reconnected to a sense of ease and an inner “yes”

- quietly glowing - in a way that feels real and sustainable

This day isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering how it feels when your body feels safe, nourished, and supported.

About the Teacher

Hi, I’m Andrijana, founder of Play & Pause Yoga.

I’m a Yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Yoga specialist with a background in psychology and over a decade of teaching experience.

My work brings together yoga, Ayurveda, functional movement, and restorative practices to support people in reconnecting with their bodies and moving through life with more ease.

I guide with attention to pacing, safety, and nervous system awareness - balancing effort and rest, strength and softness. My intention is always to create a space where you can feel grounded, calm, and supported, without pressure to perform or push.

Women often tell me they leave feeling more at home in their bodies - steady, clear, and quietly restored.

FAQs

Do I need any yoga or retreat experience?

No. All practices are accessible and guided with care. You’re welcome exactly as you are, and you’ll always have options to participate in a way that feels comfortable for you.

What if I need to rest or step out during the day?

That’s completely okay. You’re free to take breaks, sit out, or rest at any time. The day is designed to support your energy, not push it.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are available up to February 15 (7 days before the retreat).

After that date, registrations are non-refundable but transferable to another participant with notice.

Why Women Love This Work

Again and again, women tell me how these practices help them breathe deeper, move with more ease,

and feel steadier in their everyday lives.

Here are a few of their words:

Andrijana is outstanding teacher, she radiates positive energy and warmth. Her classes are well balanced between serious workout and relaxation. I attended her yoga classes and also Tuna Up Your Body workshop and I am hooked, will follow her all endeavours since everything I done so far with her enriched my life and helped me fell better in my body.

Jelena B.

Andrijana puts an enormous amount of thought and care into her gentle yet challenging yoga classes. There is zero judgment here, just a calm, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere where the physical poses are only a part of the overall objective: encouraging nurturing of the self with patience, compassion, and a sense of humour.

J.P.

Andrijana is an excellent yoga teacher. A warm person who makes you feel safe and willing to try new things in which you succeed most of the times! Creative and energizing teacher willing to bring fun during the most challenging poses making you to persist and be proud of yourself at the end. The meditation at the end makes me feel relaxed and happy. She teaches you how to listen to your body and therefore how far to go in a pose if you have injuries or weaknesses and not to feel bad about yourself if you're unable to do the pose as she does. I highly recommend her to everyone who wants to do yoga!

If you’ve been reading and quietly nodding, this day is likely for you.

GLOW UP is an invitation to step out of your roles for a full day and into a space where you’re supported, unhurried, and free to simply be - to move, rest, and reconnect in a way that feels natural and grounded.

Just come as you are - and spend a day that actually feels like rest.

You don’t need to know anyone.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Just come as you are.

Love, Andrijana
